NEW bat rules and information

For parents and others that may be looking to purchase new bats for the upcoming baseball season, there have been some changes to the bat rules. The big news is that Little League changed their bat rules in the past 4 months. SJB may elect to allow bats that were legal in 2017 to be used in 2018, but we will have to phase out those bats in the next year or so. Important note is that some bats that were legal will no longer be legal in the future. Please be cognizant that SJB has not made a decision about this rule as it affects SJB, so to err on the side of caution.. you may want to go from the NEW list that is linked. SJB is working to determine how the new bat rules impact our leagues/teams as well as how we wish to handle the new bat rules. If you are purchasing a new bat, you'll want to make sure you understand the bat rules for your child's league. SJB Minors - our rules are Little League rules unless modified in our local rules.
